Day 21D

Stomach feels quite touchy and twice this past week I almost puked. Once was last night (Christmas) after eating dinner and while still at Karens house (that would have been a disaster) and earlier after eating a single banana. 

I still have almost no energy so I hope no more chemo is required because I feel I have pushed my luck with this phase of my “journey” to the max.

The MRI I had on Monday was interesting.  They hooked me up to an IV in my arm and then put headphones on me and I  had to lie completely still with my tits hanging down into holes on a table for 30 full minutes. Barely made it especially since they made me lie with my head on a regular sized pillow. I’m nervous about the results and will get those in 3 days.

What the heck am I talking about?  I am nervous about everything lately.

Day 10D

All week I have felt as though my stomach was stuffed with cotton…..sounds weird I know but thats the closest I can come to describing the feeling.  Seems Yogurt helps but only on a day to day basis so I may be forced to eat a yogurt or two per day for awhile.  Yogurt does taste a bit odd too so this should be interesting.  Dont need Sienna S or Imodium so I guess thats a good thing. Nostrils and throat dry with occassional cough.

Got Nystatin powder for yeast infection under breasts.

Day 6D

Went for my Neupragen shot today and about 1 hour later felt mild nausea. Still feel like the food in my stomach isnt digesting even though I took one of those little yellow pills.  Right nostril was runny today…god I hope its not a cold.

Day 5D

Feel dry again….Sienna again worked but not well.  Tongue kind of feels funny thisevening….it feels very sensitive but its niether enlarged nor discolored.  Felt mostly cold thisevening.  Urination feels a bit “hot” and there is some lower and mid back pain thisevening.

Couldnt get to the docs today for the first neuprogen shot but have to tomorrow as well as see Barb.  Hope this dried out and other weird feelings are gone soon.

Day 4D

Took another Sienna S last night and again it worked but NOT like a charm.  Still pretty much dried out today again both inside and out. 

I am a bit ticked off today…..all I need to remember is that even Carol’s old friends suck. In this case Alice Bigler.  To think I practially hero worshipped a couple of schizophrenics (Carol and Richard) and they had goofy friends that abused animals (and maybe they did too for all I know).   Really almost makes me want to cry thinking about how stupid I was to even give these folks the time of day.

Rash under right breast is back and I am flushing pretty bad today.

Day 3D

Well the Sienna S worked but not like a charm…dried out to the max thismorning and pretty much most of the day.  Have a bit more energy than day 3C but not all that much. 

Got Christmas decorations up both outside and inside today (about 3/4 done) and was otherwise pretty much useless by supper time. 

By evening nostrils still feel dry as well as throat and breathing out of the right nostril is impossible.  Some burning pain in the lower spine. Stomach and guts feel a bit better. Drank 2 and a half pints of water today.

Day 2D

Drank four 1 pint bottles of water so far today and do seem to have more energy than after the last treatment so maybe the water IS helping.   Coughed a couple of times  today again. Hope that stops.

Slept well last night till noon.

4th Chemo Day

Have a mild cough both during the taxotere infusion and now about 1 and 1/2 hours later at home otherwise no major symptoms yet…even the blood sugar after a cheese sandwich during the infusion was only 124.

Infusion was 100 mg of each one today and the whole process took 2 and 1/2 hours from hello to goodbye.

If the cough gets worse I will contact them Monday or before if it gets really bad……..its not too frequent yet or the coughing isnt “coughing fits” yet and hopefully it will stay that way. I think I had some of this after I got home last time too but not sure.  Also eye dryness (esp left) and some low back pain but so far no nausea (havent eaten since I have been home though..Skye is napping and has already swore not to do too much over the weekend.  All this and its only day 1D at 6:30pm.  I just hope I didnt push my luck by taking this chemo.

By bedtime I have coughed again a few times, took one anti nausea pill for stomach queesiness and it seems to have helped,  lost the orange color to my pee,  and do have sort of a dry (but not sore) mouth.  I did manage 3 pints of koolaide thisevening but thats all I could handle.

Day Before 4th Chemo (Dr Haid Visit)

Dr Haid says that I am doing “very well”. My labs were okay today (hey not in critical condition either way yah) and he thinks that my dizziness was caused by too much chemo so I am being reduced on both chemo meds by 20 mgs.  I go to Green Bay on the 22nd for an MRI of both breasts…lay on stomach and put the breasts into holes covered by wire mesh and then come for labs and consult with him regarding the MRI on the 29th.  Oh, and of course the 3 Neupragen shots (on the 9th, 10th and 11th).

He said that a shrunken tumor is better than none at all because if only shrunken its still possible to remove with clear margins but if nothing is there they take the whole breast to be safe. I will also need auxillary node removal and biopsy. He says he feels nothing in the armpit nor in the breast today (nor did he last time either) and my lungs and heart sound good.

Tomorrows chemo may be my last one.  So, with 20 mg less medicine of each lets see what tomorrow brings.

P.S. Two things…..well three. First I need to ask about the medication I need to take after this is all over.  Secondly I need to call about the furnace shutting off at 69 degrees without being set to do so and third I need to pay more attention to Millie’s coughing and breathing.  Everything happens at once and just before chemo…but I am sincerely worried about Millie though.

4 days till 4th chemo

Well the filling that Dr Bolgart put in fell out last night and he’s dead soooooooo I am going to Dr Humiston tomorrow morning at 11am to have him fix this for me and I hope and pray that this doesnt cause me a major problem.

We went to see Amy for Skye yesterday and theres some possible problems with her as well.  Amy said she heard a “mermer” on the right side of Skyes neck. I asked how thats treated and she said to keep the cholesterol in check, control the diabetes, etc.  In essence nearly everything Carmen told her was WRONG so adios Carmen; she damn near killed me and I am NOT going to let her kill Skye.

Skye got 5 viles of blood taken today (even testing electrolytes and thyroid) plus gave a urine sample. Is supposed to see Amy again in 6 to 8 weeks unless otherwise instructed.
